After working in recruitment for over 9 years, the founder of Remote Rebellion, Michelle, was sick of the 9-5 office life so she swapped the hustle and bustle of London for the beautiful beaches of Bali.
Remote Rebellion helps people to stand out from the competition in the search for fully remote jobs.
She has seen THOUSANDS of CVs/resumes and interviewed and hired hundreds of people across all continents and in multiple industries.

Experience a trip of a lifetime!
Over the 14 days we will take you to some of the best Thailand has to offer, letting you get out of your comfort zone and off the beaten track. From the busy streets of Bangkok to the tranquil shores of Koh Phangan, there’s a little bit of everything. You will spend your days cycling, kayaking, swimming, hiking, and sure relaxing in a hammock by the beach!
You will be with a small group of like-minded people, all ready to explore, take on the adventure and learn how to take their lives to the next level.
Shell & Joe's Story
DNA’s founder, Joe, met Michelle in 2010 while they worked as tour leaders in Thailand. They both wanted to delay entering the traditional workforce and were enjoying the freedom of travel.
Eventually, societal pressures led them to pursue conventional careers, but neither were content. Then, in 2012, Joe started his own tour company, TruTravels, offering the same kind of trips they’d led but bigger and better. Michelle found success transitioning into recruitment in 2013.
Despite thriving while working remotely during the pandemic, Michelle was ordered to return to the office. Instead, she quit and decided to pursue a career that would allow her to live location-independently. Michelle’s experiences led her to establish Remote Rebellion, dedicated to helping people find remote jobs.
In 2023, Joe approached Michelle with a new idea: Digital Nomad Adventures. Michelle joined one of our first trips, reuniting with Joe as location-independent business owners 13 years after they first met.
With a combined 11 years of recruitment experience, 30+ years travelling, 15 years of entrepreneurship, and 5 years working remotely – Joe and Michelle are just the people to support you on this trip, guiding you towards a life of freedom and fulfilment.

THE ITINERARY
Arrival Day & Introductions

Welcome drinks
Once everyone has arrived at the Hotel, we'll meet for welcome drinks and some introductory speeches.
GROUP DINNER
We'll head out as a group to a district in Bangkok called "Asok" to enjoy some nightlife and street food.
Exploring Bangkok

Temple Tour
In the morning, we'll head out to explore some of Bangkok's beautiful Temples.
River Cruise
In the afternoon we will enjoy a river cruise along the Chao Phraya River, which runs through Bangkok.
Free Time / Massages
Once we have returned to the Hotel, you'll be able to enjoy some free time, and if you want, experience a Traditional Thai Massage to fully unwind and relax!
Group Dinner
We'll end the day off with a rooftop dinner & drinks, overlooking Bangkok's skyline.
Digital detox day

Travel to Khao Sok
In the morning we'll catch a plane from Bangkok to Surat Thani, and then take a Shuttle and Long-Tail Boat to Khao Sok, where we plan to arrive around noon.
Workshop with Michelle
Navigating Remote Work: In the beautiful surroundings we’re going back to pen to paper learning the ins and outs of remote work: The differences between fully remote and work from anywhere and the tax and, legal implications around working outside of your home country.
Group Lunch
In the afternoon we will sit down together for a delicious Thai buffet Lunch!
Kayak / Swim
The late afternoon will be free for you to enjoy conversations with others, and take in the natural beauty of Khao Sok by going out on a Kayak or swimming in the emerald green lake!

Creating a winning strategy: A good strategy is more than just a plan. Today we’ll cover “knowing yourself’, confidence, productivity and what hiring managers and recruiters want to see!

Hike
In the afternoon we will head out on a hike, to see some of the beautiful scenery that Khao Sok has to offer!

Travel to Koh Phangan
In the morning we'll take the Long-Tail Boat back to Surat Thani, and catch a Shuttle and Ferry to Koh Phangan, where we plan to arrive around 2pm.

Personal Branding: How to define your personal brand, create an elevator pitch and where to showcase it to grab the attention of the righ people!
Group Dinner
In the evening we will head over to "Ando Loco", a Mexican Restaurant, to enjoy dinner and some good conversations!

We'll head over to a Muay Thai Gym around 2pm to learn about this famous sytle of Thai Boxing, and experience a session together.

Meet with Shell around 4pm to learn more about creating your winning resume! Today’s the day you’ll finalise your resume ready to send off to your target companies.

NETWORKING
From 10-15:30 we will come together for a co- working day, focusing on networking. We’ll go to Sunset Hill, a co working place with a sea view, to show you where and how to network to find more opportunities and increase your chances of landing a remote job!
Wakeboarding/ steam room & ice bath (weather dependant)
From 15:30-18:30 we will head out for a Wakeboarding session if the weather is good. If not, we will go over to enjoy a group steam room and ice bath!

In the evening you'll have the opportunity to test what you've learnt with an optional quiz.

From 1:30 - 3:30pm, Michelle will host a workshop on the "finishing touches": Get your finishing touches to your resume, LinkedIn, cover letters and ensure you’ve got everything you need to continue your remote job search from here.
Catamaran Cruise
From 3:30 - 7pm we will head out for a sunset cruise around the island.
Group Dinner
After the cruise, we will head back to Tiki Beach and enjoy a Thai Buffet Dinner.

Sort out what you want to do next. If you need to get home, we’ll confirm your trip back to Bangkok for your flight home. Or if you want to stay longer in Thailand, we will assist you in organising your stay! We will take the day to collaborate with the group on ideas that have come up throughout the trip and ensure you make the most of the DNA & RR team by asking them as much as you need to know!
